Services, Consulting, Contract Work

Let me say up front: Generally speaking I am not engaged in the business of actively looking for extra projects. I am highly engrossed in my job at GrowthZone, Inc. and they keep me plenty busy working on code day in and day out. Outside of work, I have my own personal projects, interests, and hobbies not to mention my beautiful wife and the household we work hard to upkeep.

That being said, there are times when someone’s project or idea overlaps with my interests or talents and, as some of you know, I am endowed with a strong desire to help people (especially friends, family, and my community). So I do end up taking on extra projects here and there. I don’t seek them out but they seem to find me. I have to be careful to not “bite off more than I can chew”, I can’t have a side project that interferes with my performance at work or excessively cuts into my personal life, but sometimes I can find ways to fit something in (depending on what it is).

If you are wondering what kinds of things fall into my wheelhouse, below I will link the things I have some proficiency with along with the categories I get asked about most frequently. I don’t claim to have full mastery of most of these things. Some categories I have a lot of the required knowledge but little interest, and some just the opposite (in which case, your project may be a great learning opportunity for me). Ultimately we will have to have a discussion to really figure out where your project or idea lies on my spectrum of skill and abilities; that will be the best way for me to explain to you exactly ‘to what extent I am currently able and available to help’. Hopefully the information in the pages below will give you some initial insight to help you decide if I am even close to the type of person you are looking for, and ideally it will springboard our initial conversation (should we decide to have one).
